Welcome To Aletheia
A place for reflection, clarity, and meaningful change.
I offer individual and relationship therapy for people who want to understand themselves more deeply, make sense of difficult patterns, and move toward a fuller way of living.
My work is rooted in an integrative approach, drawing thoughtfully from a range of therapeutic models to create a space that is tailored, collaborative, and responsive to the needs of each person or relationship.
Therapy is not about reducing the complexity of human experience. It is about making room for it. Together, we can explore what feels stuck, what has gone unspoken, and what may need to be understood with more care, honesty, and curiosity.
My experience spans the emotional, relational, physical, sexual, and social dimensions of wellbeing. I offer in-person therapy from a peaceful office in Coleraine, online sessions for clients across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and the United States, and walking therapy for those who find movement supportive.
At Aletheia, the aim is to create a calm and grounded space where difficult experiences can be explored with honesty, curiosity, and care.

Background
For over fifteen years, I have provided therapeutic support and group facilitation across a broad range of settings, including counselling rooms, hostels, prisons, probation offices, schools, community settings, and family homes. This has given me a solid and wide-ranging foundation of experience, and it has shaped a practice that is both grounded and responsive.
I have worked with individuals and relationships experiecing depression, anxiety, psychosexual concerns, emotional regulation, grief, suicidal thoughts, relationship difficulties, suvivors of abuse, communication problems, life dilemmas, burnout, stress, addictions, compulsive behaviours, the pressures that can arise within sport among the many other issues people trust to share within this space. I bring that experience directly into the room, with clarity, focus, and a practical understanding of complexity.
What I offer is not just experience, but a steady, committed, and thoughtful approach to therapy. I work in a way that is direct, engaged, and purposeful, with the aim of helping people move beyond stuck patterns and toward something more honest, workable, and meaningful.

Working Together
I recognise that the difficulties people bring to therapy, whether anxiety, depression, the impact of trauma or PTSD, ADHD, sleep difficulties, or challenges in intimacy and relationships, are deeply personal and shaped by the wider context of their lives.
Together, we will explore these experiences with care, considering your history, relationships, beliefs, and the patterns that may have developed over time. My approach is direct, thoughtful, and collaborative, whether we are working individually or within a relationship. Warmth, curiosity, and compassion are central to the work, alongside a willingness to speak honestly and engage with what is difficult.
Therapy is not always comfortable, and it does not need to be. Often, the most meaningful shifts begin when we are able to stay present with contradiction, discomfort, and the things that have remained unspoken. A direct approach is not about confrontation, but about clarity, authenticity, and focus.
In both individual and relationship therapy, I am fully present, engaged, and attentive. I will offer constructive challenge when it is needed, hold space when reflection is required, and remain clear about what is helpful and what is not. At times, this means pausing, slowing down, and allowing room for silence and integration; at others, it means being practical, offering insight, and naming what needs to be addressed.
I am committed to the therapeutic process and to offering a space that is steady, honest, and grounded. My hope is that, through our work together, you will experience not only support, but also a genuine and respectful commitment to your process.
